Seeing this I'm not sure how to deal with building the wheels in regards to inserts. Any suggestions?

Here's a picture to show the difference.

Yep..its all air gap..the C tires are supposed to be more in line with the modern rubber tires from other manufacturers. The A does well with the Sweep pink insert and the C I believe people like the Tamiya blue??

At the TCS warm-up race last week I asked the race director about this exhibition FF03 class for the Frederick event at the end of March.

I'm considered too 'advanced' (well, in age, anyway ) for GT3 now, but I own a pretty sweet TA04R that was reasonably competitive against the 21.5 touring cars on Saturday with a box stock silver can. So I asked if it would be OK if I ran my ancient GT3 car in with the too-fast FF03's and he said "Heck, yeah!".

So: all us too-fast GT3 guys now have a class to run. Carlton, Jake, etc.- you know who you are. Let's leave the not-fast-yet official GT3 class to the newbies and go back to some epic lead swap battles like the old days.

I'll even donate some medals and some mega trophies for the top three guys.

Sound like fun?

Questions?? mini tires?

For this reason, drivers in the M-Chassis class will go back to the "pre-control" tire regulation for the Omaha event and can assemble their own Tamiya M-chassis tires. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

David, it looks like s-grips and premounts are now on backorder, the rule is unclear if we can use m-grips and/or the factory "kit type" 60D radial? with this race or at the Harbor Hobbies race.
Please let us know.Thank you David.

Because the control tires will not arrive in time for the Omaha and Winthrop events, you can assemble your choice of Tamiya M-Chassis tires such as the M-Grip, S-Grip and other 60D tires (slicks) and any Tamiya M-Chassis wheel. However, the outer diameter can not exceed 61mm.

It would be nice to not have to worry about premount tire in the regional races.
And save the spec for the nationals

David J
With 18 days to go, when will registration open for the Illinois race?

If registration only opens after the previous race, I sympathize with people trying to register and make plans for the March 24th race.

Charlie and Jimmie were allowed to run GT3?

I thought us experienced silver can guys were tossed out of that class.
