Race # 97

Actually, Tamiya has all the race results posted from mid 2001 through 2012. My compilation is still missing the results from below to be considered complete and I am sure those resuts will shuffle the top 36 a little more.

Race # - Date
42 - Oct 97
47-64 - April 98-Nov 99
66 - Nov 99
68 - Feb 2000 (canceled ?)
76-77 - Nov 2000 - March 2001

I will post an update after a few races are run in 2013.

PM or email if you have any details on the missing race results.

Thanks
Erik

Hi to all. A quick question for the TCS organizers: are you going to hold a "Best of Show" competition during the upcoming Race #178 at Harbor Hobbies? Thanks.

Best of show is judged at all TCS events. However, there are not always participants at all the events. So if you're the only participant, you'll win.

Ah, thank you very much David. I was wondering because there were no published Best of Show winners from Race No. 170 & 162 BTW, any chance that Tamiya will ever revise or loosen the concourse rules so as to encourage more creativity and innovation in the pursuit of greater scale realism and accuracy? A quick glance at any crawler or drifter forum will testify to that need and desire from the consumer base, not to mention the quickly growing cottage industry that supplies aftermarket detail parts. Any chance that a dialogue can be opened up to make this possible? Just wishful thinking on my part. Anyway, many thanks to Tamiya for supporting and maintaining the Series.

Default local use only?

....and went back to Rainbow 10 to completely immerse ourselves in sensory overload with all things hobby related.

FROM RAINBOW TEN's WEBPAGE:

"Thak you, but Rainbow Ten International mail order has been closed.
**We are no longer taking orders.

From 1st February 2012, No English Speaker is available at RT."

We thank very much to all the customers for supporting our business for more than a decade.
With some of them we feel very much like they are good old friends so it's very hard to say goodbye but we have to.
We will never forget about you all.

We hope to see you somewhere someday again!!

Goodbye!!

Default FF03/GT3

Dave,
The FF03 class has been eliminated, but you are allowing the front-drivers to race in GT3 with the 4-wheel drivers. Not that FF03's could be very competitive considering the FF03 rule package: Silver Can, 80/54 gears, mandatory gear cover. If some misguided soul were to try his FF03 in GT3 using 21.5, would they have to run the 80/54 gears, or the gear cover?

That's just too funny. We always have a few misguided souls every year.

TCS warm-up race this Saturday at Hobbytown in Frederick, MD.

Great way to make sure you're ready for the Regionals in March!

Craig, with FF03 now in GT3 this year, the gearing restriction is lifted (you can run whatever you want) and you do not have to run the gear cover.

IMO, with 21.5 or silver can motors, I think the FF03 can be competitive with the other 4WD GT3 cars. It will vary based on the track and how big or small it is. The FF03 will have an advantage on the straights and the 4WD will have an advantage out of the corners. At the finals last year Alan finished 3rd in GT3 with an FF03.

Default TCS Body for GT3

Does anyone have a suggestion for a body for GT 3? I know all the choices, but everyone has their favorite. I will be running a TA05 Ver II.

thanks
Chris
