Default TCS Finals

If I just purchased a Tamiya and never raced in a TCS event for 2005, might my enty be accepted for the August 27th and 28th TCS race?

I have read the entry rules, and it does seem there my be a slight chance to get in. Has anyone done this before at the final race and made it in?

From the Tamiya website:

TCS North American Finals
" Any person having finished in the top 10 in any of the 2005 regional races despite class is eligible to race in any of the classes below. One entry per racer only! Racers who did not make the top ten still have a chance to race the Finals as long as they have competed in a 2005 regional. "

Past Champs rules are posted. Looks like cost controlled racing is in effect. Thanks Fred!

Becareful.... Rod has somewhat perfected the rear love taps, also known as the "tuck and swoosh" technique... Been practicing on me last Saturday with awesome results! Magnificent skills...

Okay, before I sart betting (i'll be watching closely on the sideline ). Can someone lend me money first? I'm broke...

Am I reading the rules correctly? Do past champs have to use the kit shocks?
I'm still undecided on going...trying to figure out how much I need to spend $$$.
