Are the new tires only for the narrow f104 or is there a set for the narrow f104 and another new set for the f104W. And if the new tires work on carpet then +1 for the more enjoyable f1 racing!

I'll be making my first trip to the Finals this year and I have a few questions. Will the track be open for practice Thursday and Friday? What will the power situation be, will extension cords be available or will I need to pack one? What is parts support like, should I plan on packing every spare I may need or will some be available at the track?

I'm sure more questions will pop into my head as it gets closer.

Speedtechrc.com will be the parts guys at the track but bring what you think you will need/use cuz as you know the desirable parts will get snatched up quickly. Order from them ahead of time or stock up at your LHS.
It is listed that they will be open, as usual for TCS races, Thurs and Fri. for practice and reserving pit spots.
Bring an extension cord and a power strip wouldn't hurt. Tables and chairs are supplied as usual and usually arrive Thurs or Friday too.
Get ready for some serious fun.

Thanks Rob.

Did I read correctly that the tires mount on the F104 foam rims?

The new tires are meant to be used for the standard width 180mm f104 for the moment.

To be quite honest the F104W poses a problem and next years rules refinement will address the issue.

I have done extensive testing with these tires with my X1 and V2 on both carpet and asphalt track surfaces. They are amazing on both!

The top 3 on each class along with the TQ and Best of Show winners are posted on the Tamiyausa.com website under the TCS link.

Not required, but next year the new tires as well as the existing rubber tires will be legal for the F-1 class. Meaning...you have OPTIONS

I want to be clear on how many classes you can enter.

Everyone may only enter one class with the ONLY second class available to you is the 1/12 GT class.

Peace

SUPER stoked for Nat's, as it will be only my second time on that gorgeous track, and first time ever at the finals.

Fred, when will the sign-up be available online? I'm getting antsy!

Sign up should go live tomorrow. We've been trying to add something to the form and we've had some slight delays. Check in the morning around 9:00 am.
