Funny guy. I already have my hands full holding off the local Tamiya faithful!

The track is awesome and has been also home to two 24hr race events using TT01s.

I found the track to be quite comparable to Tamiya HQ.

TCS Race at Jackson RC is AWESOME! Hey Mark, we went to Aliso Viejo in 2008. Great track, but Jackson is the best.

Equipment of Choice:
1. Old school TA05
2. GT1 - 13.5 Blinky
3. Get out the old school Nissan GTR body!

Here is a video of GT1 type speed at Jackson.

1. TQ equals variety. Let's step out of the sand box a little
2. Last year we had an awesome weather day for our January race. Remember the May one got rained out? Hellooooooo....If the Jan race gets rained out we will re-run it. We will just do it commando style. Bring your own power and pitting.
3. D2, D1 motors. Hmmmm I'll look into it, but no promises.
4. F-1 at TQ. The best tire at TQ is PITTS. However, it's a Tamiya race so we are going to use Tamiya tires. Both foam and Rubber will be classes run.
5. Think of the TA race in January as the Spa round and the TQ event as the Monaco race. TQ will be a great carpet learning experience for all
6. The Type C tire will be your best choice at TQ for Touring car. It's that way in the mid west tracks and the east.
7. The 3 traveling classes for the 2012 finals are: Note: You must win 1st place in order to be eligible to race at the Tamiya world finals. If you are unable to attend, the trip will not be handed down to 2nd place. Just and FYI guys.
Fred,
What are your thought on the D2 or D1 motors?

I would not count on the D1 or D2 Trinity Motors being legal. They were not allowed last year either.

Well it looks like my buddy and I will be road-tripping it to the Jan. 22nd regional, sooo stoked! It's gonna be the first time at the Tamiya track for either one of us, should be fun!

I've been a follower of this forum for a long time. What I've noticed in the last year to year and half is the reduced amount of talk about the TCS races in sites outside of California. I'm not sure if this is a lack of interest, less interest in Tamiya products, the lack of interest in on road cars, or something else. The Jackson RC track appears to be an awesome addition. I hope that other local sites are not lost.

The brushless motor list for this year has been expanded to include the Trinity D3, Reedy, and Thunder Power motors. I don't see why not the D1 or the D2.

I have a feeling it has to do with being readily available too.

Jackson has been steadily working towards adding the great classes TCS offers, and to now have the opportunity to host an actual TCS event is a big honor. Thanks and praise need to be directed towards John Brown of Brownie's Hobbies for organizing this event. Without his involvement, this event would not be possible!

Over the years, we've run some interesting Tamiya classes. From the F1 faithful, to the annual 24 Heures Du Jackson with TT01Es, it's been fun! And then there was the Mini Invitational with triple A-mains.....
