Why does it always seem when we run at Tamiya we're always ending up around each other on the track ? Ha, ha, ha......

Just thought I'd post this for my non local Mini friends who may have been concerned that old age has finally caught up with me based on my disastrous performance at this years Nats. Frankly I was getting worried also. The problem turned out to be stupidity not old age. Somehow the way I'd set up the esc to the Tx gave me less than full power to the motor. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your viewpoint, one other local here made the same error.

So my apologies to Tamiya, the R/C gods, and anyone else who I may have been cursing at for giving me all those "slow" motors.

On another note, someone posted the 05 has more precise steering than the 03. Since we've already established my qualifications for stupid, could someone explain how this could be so???????????

after further inspection it seems to have more of a NinjaTurtle shape rather than a Galapagos Turtle shape, it would probably just sit-n-spin ... but looks cool nevertheless, ill give it a try..

it was fun racing with you too in 2004 you need to come out of retirement..

Hello All, I was at the TCS Nationals as a spectator and had a lot of fun just watching. Some of the finishes had my heart pounding. Even my kids were rooting for cars just based on there paint jobs. Now I would like to try my hand at actually participating in a class.

Does anyone have a good deal on a TA05 R?

Thanks, and I look forward to racing with you all.
Regards,
Tariq

What about a spec TT01 for the kids? Can't they play too?

I have a TT01 and the novice class seemed below my level. The Front Wheel Drive class seems fun.

When the kids are of age I will hand down the TT01 to them. The spec class was entertaining to watch at the nationals.

Default Ninja Turtle body to the rescue

Hey O-Sherman, Daniel had a GTR body like the one you're asking about. I can be wrong, but I think it is the standard GTR with the racing wing rather than the simple plastic spoiler. I used the body on a couple chassis' (FF-03 and TA-05). I thought it was fairly stable, but being a standard road-going sedan, it is probably too tall. But with the racing wing (I drove Daniel's car with both wings), it really becomes a descent body.
