Hey guys,

I wanted to give everyone on here a quick update on some developements for the TCS Series.

1. As everyone knows the 2nd TCS event @ Tamiya America was cancelled due to weather. We've been scrambling to do a rain out make up race, but due to many factors it's been a tough squeeze. We have many upcoming events in July e.g. Mini Enduro and the RC Drift Club Drift Finals at Tamiya and the TCS finals are only a few months away. With that said, we are not going to be able to do a make up race, but instead we will put on 1-2 Tamiya fun races with prizes to get everyone in the racing mood and prepare for the TCS Finals. The date or dates for the fun races will be announced shortly.

2. The TCS race at Hobbytown Glen Burnie has been canceled and the event will move to the Frederick MD, Hobbytown USA location for a second running. Same dates. We would like to thank the fine folks at Glen Burnie for the many years of support and we wish them all the luck in their future endeavors. They have been a great group to work with and they will be sorely missed.

Will the ta06 be legal for the July races on the schedule since hopefully we'll get our hands on them the last week or so of June?

hey, That would be good to have a race with maybe some adjustments to eqipment ie brushless 21.5 in FF03.Eliminate the brushed johnson motor voodoo, make the class more competetive! Any tire combo in mini and no motor limit!
Unlimited ESC's in GT-1 and unlimited bodies in all classes. sort of a modifed run what you brung race!!
What do you think Fred?

Sorry to hear that the Aliso event cannot be rescheduled, but certainly understandable given the schedule you guys have for the summer.

VERY glad to hear that the Glen Burnie event will still happen. Too bad about their venue, hopefully they will find another hobby shop and parking lot on which to run their events. Great group, great club.

If it had to move somewhere, no better place than Frederick. Class operation, great race director, excellent facility. And, of course, air conditioned and no worries about rain. That's a plus in the DC area at the end of July.

Thanks for the update, Fred.

Great race this weekend not a bih showing but there was alot of tight racing. Thanks to John Hicks (Racenut123) for announcing and running my M06 in the quals. Ken Brumbly and I of course went at it again and here are the results. The 10 minute Mini main was Bad Ass would like to see more of it in the future it makes for some interesting battles.

Brandon Koslosky 39 10:03.483 Fast Lap 14.767
Ken Brumbly 39 10:03.925 14.993
Mark Brown 38 10:07.476 15.531
John Frazier 38 10:12.641 15.679
John Balatico 37 10:13.607 15.770

Thanks again to the Norcal Crew. Watch out Socal F1 guys cause Austin Brumbly will be running the Nats and he is fast.

21.5 for F1 too please. Most of the So Cal UF1 crew would love to run without having to swap motors.

Default Happy Fun Time

Here's a video that Maxpower shot during practice at Tamiya today. Thanks Max and my apologies to all victims for scratched plastic.

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Note to self: It's okay to put worn out GT1 tires on an FF03 but not the other way around. Massive understeer.

Exclamation Fun times at Tamiya!

your welcome Rod it was almost as much fun recording as it was racing!
I guess I need to work on my 05 V2 if I want to give you a challenge with your 416 in GT-1. I'm still not sure if I have anything for you in FF03
Anyway should be awesome doing the fun race and then the Mini enduro the next weekend. Grandpa's car was dialed after the 2nd run!
If anybody is interested to run the Fun race, I'll attach the flyer on this thread!
