One thing I've noticed over the years traveling for rc, east goes west but not too many come east...only the diehards. And yes, when it's half as warm, hard to compete with SoCal. Jealous.
Thats why it is difficult to determine who is a good adaptive, competitive driver.
My opinion is that those who travel, and put it in the A on a consisitent basis fit the above ( good, adaptive, competitive )
When drivers are able to race at a home track as the Nats track, it is tough for outsiders to compete, not complaining.. we all know we need tracks to stay open as much as possible.

A thought that comes to mind is TCS is for the most part a costal series, East, and West, with a race or 2 in the middle, or slightly south ( Tenn. )

It would be cool to have a TCS Invitational Race. open to all TCS drivers, those that qualify in the top ten of their regional races, would get seeded in heats, perhaps like the Reedy Race style format, and have at it.

Would that attract any drivers on more than a local level ?

What would it take to get the TCS local leaders of the pack, to come together for a big at a new venue ? Does anyone work in hotel or hospitality , or vacation company to get a family vacation for a winner ? would it take car kits ? or is it only the chance to go to Japan to race ?

Rod, I've got a painted, lightweight 2007 NSX you can try next time out so you don't trash your freshly painted one. Just let me know.

Question: is this the Golf that VW took to the annual GTI owner's club meeting in the ol' Heimat? Last time it was this insane GTI that VW cobbled together with a mid-engine Lambo geartrain and a W12, and a really cool body kit. Top Gear showed it and Jeremy couldn't get the thing to go round a corner fast, but it looked really sweet and body kits resembling it came out within months. This thing looks like a DTM contender, and the "35 years" logo suggests another special that VW cobbled up to honor the faithful.
And I concur, yes, Tamiya, we need this as a body kit...

Tom honestly don't know the story behind the car, I just came across the photos on Autoblog.com and I wanted to share it with all the car crazy folks.

No, this isn't the same car, but I remember the one you're talking about. This car has "Volkswagen's turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five, though output has been bumped up to 434 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque".

Details here: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/11/v...-golf24-racer/

Hiya Tom, I may take you up on that offer, thanks! So, if you aren't using it, does that mean you prefer something else?
