Funny guy Steve. The Tamiya TCS locals (save Cuda) don't even drive a 1/2 hour north to West Coast RC Raceway (indoor asphalt) or TQ RC Racing (carpet).

4 hours on a plane!!!

I drive 45 min. to get to TA, 30 min. to get to West Coast RC, 20 min. to get to TQ in Chino. But I'll admit I'm lazy enough that two hours + to get to Camarillo is too much. And that's half the distance to Steve H's neck of the world, I guess, figuring by his calc.

Thanks..

Tamiya didn't list 415/6/7 as a chassis that can be used with this body. So I am just wondering it it will fit as I like to get one to match it with a 417.

Wink Saturday = Rain tires

Grandpa, just grab your best set of rain tires, ballon up your electronics, and enjoy a drifty day on a rain-soaked Tamiya Race track.

In all seriousness, considering that most of the country just to the east of us is still packed in snowy conditions, I think that the 70-80 degree weather that we enjoyed for our past few Saturdays deserves one potential rain-day. Of course I say that with a lot of optimism that things will clear by mid-night Friday and dry out before 10 on Saturday.

Maybe we'll see you on Saturday!

OK, I'll give you a topic. HSV-010 body for GT2. Discuss.
I just ordered my HSV-10 Body for the upcoming race (or at least practice session). In all reality, it is more of a center-piece for our managers meeting coming up next week. I will continue with the Chicken and Eggs theme, but this time, I might even try to use some more creative painting techniques. I was on Charlie Barnes' website, and maybe I got a little inspired. Usually 10 minutes with a roll of tape and an air-brush, and I am frustrated to the point of a single color theme, and to heck with the stickers! So maybe the body will be a piece of art.

I think for GT-2, I might go so far as to run the plastic wing and see how it works. It looked good on the track last time I was there.

Finally, HSV = Have Some Veal

Grandpa - come out to TQ on Sunday. It is Round 8 of the Winter carpet series and bring some friends. Would be nice to see a larger mini crowd and maybe even start getting some FF03's there. Best part, who cares if it is raining outside.

hickmeister - I'll drive the 4.5 hours and I'm sure many other locals are coming down too. Should be fun.

One thing I've noticed over the years traveling for rc, east goes west but not too many come east...only the diehards. And yes, when it's half as warm, hard to compete with SoCal. Jealous.

I'm currently "masking" a 2007 Raybrig NSX straight out of the box. This thing is awesome looking and will have a lot of sweat equity invested when I roll it for the first time
