sad but true.. well, not entirely true.. the speedo provides great brakes, with the correct motor set at the correct gearing.. these were the one of the hot tickets back in the day of brushed mod and 19t.. and the GTXs were great then too..

I am in need of a set of 414X front bulkheads and was wondering if any of you other Tamiya guys know of where I may find them. Bulkheads, you know, the two aluminum plates that hold the diff and the shock tower (damper stay) screws to.

I am in the middle o a 414X restoration and need these bulkheads to complete it. Please PM me if you can help me out.

Marty

Hi Marty,

DO you have the 7 digit part #s for them? Also are they the same as ones for the 414M? If so, I might have run across them a while back. It would take me some time to track them down, but I should be able to do so.

Hey Erik,

The book says: Front bulkhead L 3459058
Front bulkhead R 3459059

and they are not the same as the 414M or M2 bulkheads.

If you have M bulkheads maybe I could make them work?

Thanks for checking.

Default Happy Fun Time

Good times today at the Tamiya track. First time running an IFS car and it was a blast.

Thanks goes to Mark for shooting the video staring Christian in a blue NSX, Orlando in a white/orange HSV, Tom in a light blue HSV, and a hack in the purple HSV

+ YouTube Video

Nice! How are those HSV bodies handling compared to the others?

I'm guessing that was GT1 legal trim, yes? If so, what motor/speedo/final drive? Spec tires too?

Looked like a whole lot of fun guys, can hardly wait to come out and play with you again.

Stitchy: I have not yet run the HSV but I heard from Rod and Orlando and cannot forget Tom, that they have a lot of grip, but have a slight push mid corner, they can further explain this.

414MPH: The bodies, cars, Tires and all were TCS spec, those Tires were actually on there last legs, almost showing belts and still ran well. I (Blue NSX) ran Novak SS 17.5 (yellow ring) motor/ GTB v3/ 3.9 final drive. We were all pretty equal on straight, except for Rod he complains to much, but we were pretty close, that close racing went on for another 5-10mins after the video finished but it was all fun and I look foward to TCS in may to give everyone that comes out a good show

I'll fix that "speed" issue one way or another... you can read my "complaints" as "not satisfied"

Yes, mine was in legal trim. Motor: Novak Spec 17.5, speedo: GTB, FDR: 3.822, tires: worn-out and ultra-thin spec B3's.

I don't know, this is my first ever IFS car With the stock wing, the car was a little loose on corner entry, somewhat neutral mid corner (not bad) and loose on exit. This may be due to setup though. After installing the low downforce option wing, the car was much better on entry, a little snug in the middle, and slides the rear just a tiny bit on exit.

Did Fred ever show up today?
Had to leave at 3:00.
So, Christian your Dad really liked my FF03. That will make a nice birthday gift for Alex.
Tim may have his hands full in May for the next TCS race.
Maybe we'll get a Timmy sighting at the track, so he can do a smack down on "Ya all"!! Just kidding!
Just my 2$
Happy Superbowl Sunday to everybody!
Can't wait for those comercials.
