This is my first TCS and I will try my hand at GT1 and Mini, the only chassis I have collected in the past few months. The mini should be funny, I've never driven it before hahahahaha.

So far, accuweather shows 70F on Sunday, that will be 18F warmer than it was last Saturday...that may help a lot!!!!
did you try tire warmers? and also try any traction additive? Maybe you can share your setup, a lot of knowledgeable guys and past champions on here willing to help I'm sure

Hey Steve, no tire warmers but I was using tire tweak from trinity...

I think I found the problem, user error of course...we'll see Saturday how it goes.

I can't get over the tire warmers! Those things are $$$$$$

glad to hear you found the problem. One thing about tire tweak though, is they need to be baked in by tire warmers to be the most effective. and I agree, I can't bring myself to buy a $200 tire warmer....

Mark,

We've been running them at the 'PLEX getting ready for out TCS race in February and they work really well. I've been running the Tamiya #53434 insert.

ARE WE READY TO RUMBLE!!!

LOOKS LIKE 70+ DEGREE WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND?

MAYBE WILL NOT NEED TIRE WARMERS?

LOOKS LIKE THE "SILVER CAN" MOTORS RULES WILL MAKE IT VERY INTERESTING THIS WEEKEND?

I AM SURE THERE WILL BE SOME CONTROVERSY.

Hi FMW

Does the type S tires rule apply to the mini on carpet tracks as well?

No prob, will have both Miata and Alpine on Sat. Hope you are aware the Alpine is SWB, Miata is MWB. Can you get hold of an Alfa--I don't have one, Kevin Niino and Mark H have them and might loan.

Granpa, I for one look forward to your "ambitious" plans.

Woo hoo! Weather reports now say Sat and Sun sunny, temps in low to mid 70's. Finally the weather suits my setup--I'm tired of praying to God, Allah, Buddha, the Great Spirit, Cttuhuu, Taters the Clown, and all the rest.

Gee,
I remember buying Reedy tire warmers when Associated moved from Costa Mesa. They sold them for $5 for a set. There was boxes of them and they couldn't give them away!
Granted their not top of the line but they do work. They were amazing when it was cold the past few weeks. It was nice have instant traction right from the start. Guess, we won't need them this weekend. Or maybe in the early morning or late evening, if at all.
