Racing Tamtech Porsches
Hi. I noticed Tamiya is having a Tamtech Porsche race at the end of the year and also saw some being raced in Japan via utube clips. Is there anyone racing these on a regular basis. They look like a good combination of simplicity and fun. I'm looking for something to play on the blacktops and occasionally race. Do you think any lipo batteries would fit in it. It would be neat to do 30 minute races similar to the F103GT Porsche series that they are having in UTAH.

Ron,
I just picked one of these up myself.
The body looks soo detailed that I'm afraid to paint it.
I'm not sure how well the stock tires hook up.
Tons of Lipos fit in it. Most anything 34mm wide will fit. Currently I have a Kokam 740 and 910 mAh and a Saehan Enertech 910 mAh lipo powering it up with great success.
The great thing about the stock Tamiya Electronics is that it's robust enough to handle a 3S lipo - with both the stock and optional Tamiya motors.

Thanks for the reply
I noticed that Tamiya is coming out with upgraded tires but they are not out yet. Check out the tamtech online parts at Tamiya. Are you going to race yours or just bash?
How long of a run time are you getting?
