Had a great time at the race.

Would have been nice to see more of the GT2 class cars show up for the race. Well, even one more car show. What happened to the Porsche cup drivers? It was tough to race without a partner but with alot of breaks it can be done.

The race was great, I liked racing for long periods of time. So much better than the 5 to 8 minutes of time. I was impressed with the car holding up for so long. I broke one mount that I replace at the track and burned up a axle bearing at the end, which made it tough to drive.
The 36r rubber tires did not seem to hold up for long but I changed tires in the middle of the race to 32r's and they seemed to work better.

Thanks to the all the sponsers of the race.

Also wanted to thank the guys from Provo for posting on UtahRC.com with the pictures of the race. VERY NICE!!!!!

Ouch!! ... and you're Welcome....

... You see, I'm not a Utah County resident... They only let me visit every other weekend to race.... Something about not spoiling the environment.... and they can only stand soo much of me....

Very cool. Can they elaborate on the LMP1 series?

I raced in the TT Minisports GT3 class this weekend. My first time racing under TCS type rules. I had a great time. I purchased the F103 as well and will start building it this week.
TT Minisports ran a 1 hour main for the LMP cars. I think the battery changing procedure rules are still up in the air. How do you manage the batteries changes? Does the body need to come off?

First off, very cool. TCS rules are stringent but fair. We didn't follow them for F1 but I think the support for the F103GT and Touring Cars are ample.

For the pit stops... If you want all things to be equal then you should make it so the body comes off and the battery tray must be stock with both pins in place. It slows down the pit stop by 20 seconds but at least everyone is going through the same procedure. It's also not a bad idea to mandate a connector rule. That way no one will have a spring loaded battery change... Connectors, body must be removed, and the stock battery tray used with both body pins in place.

We've had variations on this and what you guys do is up to you. If you land a TCS race I would keep the cars ready for the event so there isn't a double standard.

With SLCF1.com lost to the miscreant who sniped my url... I kill you

So the blog lives on but with the unruly long url. ASERS belongs to some guy in China that hasn't posted since 2005. So my apologies.

Racing starts tomorrow at Fastkart. Practice around 10:30 a.m. Plus Porsche Cup starts their season tomorrow too.
