Default '06-'07 Indoor Carpet Season @ RCE - MA/NH/VT/CT/RI Racers!!

Attention racers in the Northeast!

The indoor carpet season has begun at RC Excitement in Fitchburg, Ma! If this past saturday is anything like what the season is going to be like, it is going to be a great season. Lots of new faces coming out to check out the action and plenty of returning racers from last season looking to bring their "A" games.

Ed Forer, Team Speedmerchant driver, has volunteered to work with the racers by putting on "how-to" clinics for people. Everything from set up and driving line will be discussed each saturday from 1pm-4pm.

Dust off your 12th scales!! By the looks of things, 12th scales could be making a resurgence this season. This is a great way to get into carpet racing and another way sedan drivers can get more track time!

Doors opem at 10am and racing should start around 5pm!

Check out RC Excitement Website and for more info on the New England Triple Threat click here

See you there!

We also have great racing every Tuesday night, often with 4 full heats of sedan and a couple heats of 12th scale.

It should be noted that RC Excitement is the only full time road course in New England. Thats right, its never converted to oval, allowing traction to build to epic levels. The track is also sprayed with Paragon Ground Effects every race day. This brings bite to a level rarely found at a typical "club" race.

We have a great crew of helpful and knowledgeable drivers including: Region carpet TC champion, Hyperform team driva and multiple national A-mainer Steve Boice, national A-mainer Mark Strasnick (when he's home from college aka summer), Bruce Carbone of SpeedMerchant and we of course get visits from our hero national champ Jarrod Langlois.

If your a bit farther North check out RCE's sister track, the venerable Maximus RC raceway in York Maine. Its our home away from home.

From the sounds of it, there may be some of the fastest onroad guys in the country walking through the doors of RCE in preparation of the IIC in Las Vegas, NV.

Looks like Jeff Brown and Chris Mockerman will be heading there to put down some laps. You never know who will be there getting ready!
