The "Officially uNoFfICiAL" HPI Challenge....Sept 30/Oct 1st N.J.
Okay Gang....I think we all vented enough on the old HPI thread about the lack of an "Official" Challenge this year, so let's use this thread to organize a fun east coast race for the HPI faithfuls....
This is not a flame what-so-ever towards HPI, but there was just always something about the racers who attended over the years that compeled me to host this race!
This will be an onroad event only, but I am willing to do an offroad race at our home dirt track, at a later date, if there is enough intrest!
The Pimp Squad and I will be hammering out some class guidelines, mostly per '05 HPI Rules.
We'd also like to open it up a bit to "any" chassis in a couple of classes, so others can come have some fun too.
Let's do dis maNG.....

Yeah, this will be a blasT as usual!!!!! It'll be nice to see some of the old "crew" together again!

I'm on vacation that weekend and that's the only weekend for me to do this race....We'll see how it shakes out.... The HPI series has it's own following, so both races should do well.....

don't go making any schedule changes on my account. Just do what is right for SJCCR and the racers who would attend normally. I do not even own a HPI car anymore. And even if the date changed, I might not be able to attend. So just do what you have to, if I can attend I will, if not it's my loss.

Changing the date is not totally out of the question....Probably best to do it now before we pick up steam....
I would really like "da hoMiEs" to be able to participate in some of the "open" chassis classes since they have missed the FUN of the previous Challenge races....
(Plus, I need them to help run thanGS....LOL)
Two things I'm looking for today....
1. A Roll Call for this event, to help me plan a little better. Again, this will be just a fun race without all the "bells and whistles" of an official Challenge.
This race is just an excuse to get the HPI Faithful together at one track on the same day(s) to swap paint, talk sMaCK, and basically just hold us over for anudda year.....LOL
2. Which would be better dates....Sept 30th/October 1st or October 14th/15th?????
