Default Hitec 2006...not this year.

Unofficial word from Mike that there would be no racing this year. Any thoughts? It's probably a seen thing coming, due to hobby people races shutting down and the low club racing turnouts. Guess people found otherr hobbies. In anyrate....I'm Bummed!

I'm a bit surprised That effectively ends the last on-road racing in all of San Diego. Charlie- can you pick up the torch? How about you and Hitec running this race? Your equipment is better anyway

I agree with ya Mike. Hitec SHOULD consider letting CB run the race for them. The Hitech race has become one of the west coast races to attend

That is a major bummer. The one consolation about HP cancelling their season was that at least there would the Hitec race. Someone get Mike to reconsider!

Sorry to hear this, but with HP suspending their racing program this year, it comes as no surprise. Perhaps they will reconsider, if they see the number of people that would like to run at this event. If not, perhaps the folks at HiTec and OC Circuit can work something out.

This doesn't bode well, no HiTec race and the KO Propo GP looks like it may not happen either. The Reedy RoC is a great race, but hopefully, it won't be the only "big" onroad race in the SoCal area this year...

Charlie, I'm down to get a crew of people together and make the race happen.

I can probably get 6 people together for a small fee and I will probably have to take a few of them to Leggo land and Seaworld before I leave San Diego but man LETS DO THIS!

The Hitec GP was teriffic last year. What is puzzling, this race seems to always have a great turnout, unlike many of the HP Races. I hope thay don't let all that goodwill go to waste. I understand and respect the time and work it takes to pull off a successful event, but I hope someone can get with Hitec and takeover the reins for running of the race with Hitecs blessing. Needless to say I want the race back this year! MHO

you'd think they would keep it going since it draws the most people/attention out of all the HP races.

I'm all for Charlie running this race if he can do it. I know I'll be there and I'm sure most of the rest of the SD boys will be there if Charlie can make it happen.

If we hade more support/turnout with the rest of the Hobby People races there wouldn't be a situation like this! Hobby People ran the best races.
