Default Just for Fun - Colors/Livery

As I prepare to return to the hobby after an almost 20 year hiatus and ponder how Iím going to paint my vehicles, I thought Iíd ask:

Whatís the story behind the colors you use for your ride(s), and bonus answer, how did you come up with the paint scheme/design?

For me, I first ran Flourescent Orange and White with thin black stripes near the transition to these colors. The Orange made it easy for my car to pop, without being too bright (like the fluorescent green yellow), and I just thought the three made a good combination. When I started my own company, I transitioned to my company colors (Blue/Midnight Blue fade, White, Black and a touch of Red) and even made up some decals to put in it as a promotion vehicle. These were basically the colors in use on the company logo/business card.

During my hiatus, I took up Sim Racing, and started a race team with some friends utilizing Black/White/Blue/Light Blue/Midnight Blue, based on the Stone Bros. SP Tools car that raced in the V8 Supercars series. I simply thought that scheme was cool.

now that Iíll be coming back, Iím torn as to what scheme to go to... I know that Iíll be running Serpent cars, but not sure if I want to go back to the Orange/Black/White. I like the brand, but Itís not like Iím a team driver or something, lol.

Anyway, whatís your story?

Hey, welcome back T-N-B

Following on with your Orange/Black/White, here is my story. Tried all three. Orange was my most successful race car color. Black was hard to see on the track at night. White is the best all-around color for visibility, but it tends to the bland unless it is accented.

Hope this helps in your decision making process. Good luck and good racing.

Cheers and Regards. AC
