this is from this past weekends TCS race in regards to glue on the tread surface for Euro Trucks. It will not be allowed per TCS rules makers.

F N CUDA , Today 12:07 AM
I posted this on the Euro truck thread also:

So the Euros have run at TCS in NJ a couple weeks ago, A, B and C mains, that's a lot of trucks on carpet.
What's the deal?
Go ok no glue?
I talked to the TCS "power that be" tonite that was at this weekends TCS and said he is not going to allow glue on the tread surface cuz he drove the trucks and did not find it necessary.
Said he could only roll it over if he drove it like a touring car and the trucks were stable enough without the extra glue.

reedy has supplied motors to every TCS venue so far. Tamiya and Reedy have been working together to make sure there are motors available for each race. They have been at each track the week of the race. Motors should not be an issue.

When will they be available? Is it first come, first served or buy as many as you want until supply is gone?

I registered for two classes that use the 21.5 motor. It would have been nice to have a motor installed before race day.

Carl,

I get it, everyone is in the same boat, Reedy has been working with associated to get the motors to the shops hosting the TCS races, we have no control over the supply, it is a Reedy issue, they diverted our last shipment to Omaha for their race. I do not know the quantities coming to WCRC the week of the race, you can check with Dave Weir to see what supply was at HobbyPlex for the race. We will do our best to not let people hoard them.

Again I can't give you a 100% answer since it is in Reedy's hands

Just putting this up here since there was a little confusion on the tire matrix for different tracks/classes. GT1 and GT2 are the only classes that run the track specific tire matrix (Gravity for Windy City) ...all other sedan classes run any 24/26mm Tamiya tire. So ProSpec and Spec Novice do not run the Gravity tires...they must run a Tamiya tire.

As you are aware, the TCS series has migrated to a REEDY spec Fixed Timing motor for many of its race classes. This has proven successful in terms of keeping motor costs down and making racing closer. It has also eliminated the motor of the month issue as well as certain manufactures skirting ROAR Rules.

However, both Tamiya and Reedy were caught off guard on just how popular this move turned out. Supply has been limited during the kick off of the TCS season. Reedy has been working feverishly to get demand filled and I’m pleased to report that stock on the popular 21.5 version is due to arrive at the REEDY warehouse today or tomorrow. Your local shop has access to the Reedy sales department to fill their store shelves. You in turn also have the option to buy the motor direct from the Reedy website for $56.99.

For those of you looking for 17.5 and 13.5 versions, the Tamiya USA website has both in stock for $56.99 with FREE shipping. Reedy 17.5 & 13.5 motors for sale

We apologize for any stress the early motor shortage supplies may have caused. Rest assured, we plan to use these motors for the regionals and August Nationals and the foreseeable future.
