There’s a parking lot track in the Phoenix area that runs electric classes.

Flagstaff Hobbies runs races at the Home Depot parking lot every 2 weeks. They just finished the Summer Series, the last race of the season will be a 6 hour Mini Enduro.

There is also a track in Mesa (just outside Phoenix), brand new asphalt....butter smooth....great traction, straight is about 120 feet. We race every Saturday during the day from October to May and nights from May to September.

Only electric...sorry.

The racing is highly competitive so finding good competition won't be hard.

Check out Flagstaff Hobbies they have a website and a facebook page, on their website is a link to this years racing schedule and I suspect that next year will be very much like this past years schedule. Great folks that run a nice program best in AZ (imo), lots of variety in the way of classes offered including oval and road course. In the past three or four years May has been just practice days with the first points series race the first weekend of June. As a side note that is where Gary McAllister races so if you have ever run one of his bodies then you might get to say hello to the guy that makes them.
Flaggstaff Hobbies

Edited to add: If your wanting to run carpet then the closest place would be Vegas
