Default Contracts for event sponsorship.

Hello everyone. I am part of a non-profit group and am looking to run an R/C racing series this summer.

I was wondering what does everyone do to get sponsorships? Do you utilize a standardized form? Gentleman's agreement?

Any help would be awesome.

Some manufacturers have event sponsorship somewhere on their page. Start with the "contact us" tab and look there. Other companies you'll just have to make the calls. Be polite, have your numbers straight (what you want, how much exposure they will get in Social Media & advertising, expected entries etc.) A number of them will have an "event package" that will include giveaways & a banner. Make sure you and a LOT of your entries call them to thank them after the event... this is HUGE. Make sure to show their banners on your website and whatever they gave you. Make sure they are on you event flyer too.

It is some work and a lot of "sorry, can't help" but you'll do ok. If you follow through with promotion and promoting the companies that do give you stuff, next year will be better.
