Default Tuesday, July 30 Practice

Due to the low temp and drizzle all day we are calling practice off today, July 30, as we do not want to damage the track or put large ruts in parking lot. Thank you for understanding and we will see you on Thursday for practice and Saturday for track work day.

A few jumps need to be re faced, and major rock picking through out the whole track.

Bonuses for people who come and help will be available!

If you come out and everything gets completed in a decent amount of time, we will open the track to free practice for those that have worked..

Hope to see many many faces out there!
what time are you starting?

I have a question for all the 4x4 guys out there.. There has not been any talk among the Board or anything yet.

What would people think if Race Em opened the Battery Rule to 3s in 4x4?

Pro's and Con's. Please respond and post.

Like I said, I personally have been talking to some guys and they have said it would be nice if they could run 3s. So I would like to hear it from everyone. Post on fellas!!

Thanks,

I say not till point season is over. Some people already have powerful enough trucks. Changing mid season would make it tough for some to be competitive.

Problem with raising the cell count IMO is you will have people abusing it by sticking 4000Kv + motors in there and hitting warp speed down the straightaways . Are you gonna impose a cap on motor Kv as well ? What about motor size ?

They are already as fast as the 1/8th e buggies , putting more power into them will just make them harder to drive IMO . Not to mention 2s has kinda become the standard at tracks across the country , so drivers coming to RaceEm for the first time would have to drive with all those 3s powered machines ....

As for reliability , gearing to the ragged edge is a choice the individual racer makes , if they are burning up equipment then they should gear down , lots of guys running 4x4 SCT and I have seen very few meltdowns .
