John LaShelle and I, along with POSSIBLY his brother Gary, will be running 2WD Mod Buggy.

I am pretty sure Rod and Jason will be running buggy this year. I know there were a couple of others that had either purchased/traded/obtained a buggy or were thinking of running buggy.

Add in you and Tom..., we have a decent number of buggies.

I've got my eye on racing buggy. Wish I had kept my old one.

Default New Guy

For those who have been asking, here is a pic of Graham. The radio looks a little big, but he will grow into it!

OK. The board met today and made all the final decisions on classes and the rules/fee's for the 2013 season.

Classes to be run this year at Race em rc.

1. Sportsman (Any 1/10th scale electric) Sportsman always was and always will be a class we pay a lot of attention to. It is the future of our sport. All Sportsman races will be extended to 5 minutes long to make it very easy to compare times to the other classes. You can only be bumped out of Sportsman based on lap times and your pace. Not on how many wins you have.

2. 2wd Short Course. 17.5 Blinky with open tire. All trucks will be checked for blinky status before qualifier and mains. Must have SCT style wheels and tires. Must follow Roar Length and Width Specs. 2s Lipo

3. 2wd Short Course Open. Any Motor and ESC Combo. Any timing you would like, any tire made that is SCT style. Must follow Roar Length and Width Specs. 2s Lipo.

4. 2wd Buggy Open. Any Motor and ESC Combo. Any timing you would like. Open Tire (1/10th scale buggy tires). Must follow ROAR Length and Width Specs. 2s Lipo

5. 4x4 Short Course Open. Any Motor and ESC Combo. Any timing you would like. Open tire (SCT type tires only). Must follow ROAR Length and Width specs. 2s Lipo.

6. 1/10th Stadium Truck Open. Any Motor and ESC Combo. Any timing you would like. Open Tire (Stadium style tires only). Must follow ROAR Length and Width Specs. 2s Lipo.

That should cover all of the classes we see at Race Em R/C. It takes 4 trucks to make a class. Just because it is not listed above does not mean we will not run it. We are having Length and Width Jigs made. All trucks are subject to Tech inspection during any race day.

I have made typing errors before.. If something does not look right please let me know. But the big news here is Race Em did open the Tire rule this year. No more set tires for any classes.

The next big topic the Board discussed and voted on today was the Club Fee's.

Race Em board has decided to change its price structure for the 2013 season.

Yearly Membership fees.

Single-$50.00
Family-$75.00 Covers Spouse, all children under 18 in house hold.

Race Day fees.

Non Member-$20 First class $10 each additional
Member is $15 First class, $5 each additional

All members will get a discount through Z & M Hobbies also. All members will get Free Practice on any Practice day. We are also working on other incentives for members. Stuff like bring a new racer get $5 off. If race is on your birthday you race for free.. Stuff like that. Once we get all the details worked out we will post all of that.

Our main Goal is to grow the Club. We are trying very hard to make it so the Membership fee is paid for with in just a few visits. All practice Days and Times will be Decided at the next Board meeting which is April 6th. Stay tuned for more updates.

Would you allow a Mugen mbx7 converted to sc4x4? everything would be spec besides the 17mm hex. Im sick of waiting for Mugen to release one so I wanna make one myself.

I am excited about blinky SCT! I brought it up last year and there was not much interest.
So, who is on board for blinky short course besides me?

As long as it complies with the rules for width/wheelbase and is running a 2s LiPo I don't think anybody would mind ? And SCT tires/wheels of course .....

Yea everything would be to spec. I had to ask because for some stupid reason ROAR does not allow 17mm hex

I would think u would need some sort of wheel adaptor to get u to the same profile rim and tire. A bigger rim with a low pro tire would be considered an advantage by some
