Default Track Design Contest!!

Yea yea!! Here it is again! We had such a good turn out and response from last year we are doing it again. Only with a twist!

Winner will get a 1 year free Membership at Race Em R/C!

Guidelines:

Track measurements are : 105' out and 160' wide.
You must note where the driver stand is.

We do not want any small stuff this year!! Make it BIG! Go big or go HOME! We want huge jumps. Make a rhythm with the track, needs to flow. But, keep 1/8th, 1/10th and sportsman in mind! I know it sounds hard, but I know you guys can do it!

All track drawings MUST be submitted to me by email. [email protected]
the TOP 3 or 4 will be chosen by Race Em R/C Board Members. Then, at our Awards Banquet there will be a public vote. The top winners will be posted for everyone to see, with a ballot box. You must attend the Awards Banquet to vote.

So all drawings need to be submitted by February 5th. That gives us enough time to pick the top 4.

The contest starts now!

Please do not post the drawings here. I do not want anyone getting a sneak peak.

Jason Mayer Need not apply. . Can I resubmit my design from last year..LOL

Have to agree with JASON Below.. I think flow and technical sections are where its at. Big jumps are fun to watch but dont always lend to the best racing especially for the Younger inexperienced racers and us older Marshals.. HOWEVER step ups, Step Downs, Double Triples and Directional Changes will lend to great racing..

Since the track is primary 1/10 scale 2wd electric, I don't think bigger is better. Just giving my opinion.

Trust me, big is cool for pro4.

If the jumps are too big I think the other classes will suffer.

Hence this part. All we are talking about is go look at most other tracks. They have big stuff that is still 1/10th scale friendly. If we have a big triple somewhere, you make it so the 2wd can double single, or single double. But the 4x4 can triple along with the 1/8th scale. Thats what we are asking for. But ultimately you all have the final say!

Default Constraints?

Are there any design constraints? E.G. if we want to design without the big berm turn, is that acceptable? Or does that component need to stay in our designs?

Thanks,
JB

flow and consistency are important! the jumps are going to be slightly bigger either way with options (ability to double to triple)

Design away people!

From What I understand the Berm has to stay, However i dont think in has to be a 180 turn.. Also keep in mind for drainage.

Sounds like you can redesign everything, according to jz post, he wants you to show where the drivers stand goes and everything. jk

Usually I ask that the big corner berm on the front stretch stays. Because it is very hard to move and very hard to build a corner like that. But, if you think it we should eliminate the big corner then show us how and why you think so. Also the step up off the back stretch can either stay that way. Or become another corner berm. I usually try and keep the "BIG" piles of dirt where they are. Cause they are always really soft and wet underneath them. But do what you guys want to do!!

Sorry, your layout is disqualified - you violated guideline number 2, didn't note where the drivers stand is.
