The moderation here is the reason why I like this forum. Facebook is full of smart ass 12-year old kids, keyboard warriors and general misconduct.

As an adult who doesn't want to deal with BS, this forum and its rules are a perfect fit for me. This forum is pretty relaxed as far as moderation goes.

I agree. The site does "time out" too fast.

yeah.. we let quite a bit slide here. We're just normal Joes. If you aren't belittling people, and remember this is forum designed for people of all ages... it's pretty easy to stay out of trouble. The success of the hobby is important to me, and therefor the success of the forums are important as well. Don't drive people away from the forums or the hobby, and all will be good!

The overwhelming majority of infractions given here happen in the B/S/T forums.

I dont think we need a massive change like a whole new layout (like XDA) but surely improve the small things, like button, easier photo uploads, better mobile access.

id like it to be easier to find my commented on posts... maybe like an "activity" button next to the search so i can easily find a post of mine from a coupe of days ago that i havent subscribed to.

also better search function that allows searching of small words and technical abbreviations

also maybe make it easier to upload avatar pics.... trying to edit a photo down to an itty bitty pixel count is a PITA

I'd like to see the original poster identified in their subsequent posts so we can better follow the story. Other forums have just put an "OP" next to the username on their replies that follow.

Click on your name or your profile, click "see all posts by xyz". It pulls up a list of all your posts.

OP part is big.

So is the "@" tagging feature.

As well as the "liked" or "thanked" button.

All of which is in IB's bag of tricks, and doesn't cost them a red cent to implement.

The rest is hyperbole, pages load faster, Ads being minimized, banners changed etc. None of that will happen as IB's gotta get paid, which I completely understand.

A couple of valid points others have made;

-A phone app for eith iphone or android

-Do something about the ads that seem to take over the entire screen when first visiting the site. For me they appear whether it's on PC, phone or tablet. The way the ads were around the borders previously was fine, but the way some are appearing now is jusy overkill. As such I don't visit the site as often.

One suggestion would be to eliminate dead sections like the Skull Racing category (or whatever is the correct term). Even if they are paying for it, or might be close friends, they are not contributing. It doesn't look good for the forum to have any section with the last post being a year old or longer.

Keep the old forums, eliminating old info makes it redundant when someone is looking for that info in the future

A couple of people have commented/asked for an RCT "app". How would an app be different than the mobile site currently offered? Maybe we need a different thread for things our users would like to see on the mobile version??
