I have had this issue on my laptop browsing with chrome. To me it seemed as if the flash ads were causing the problem, but browsing in opera is fine.

Way too many ads on this site now with random videos playing in the background.

If you can take a screen shot of the entire page (including ads) and post it that would help...

Same page using Internet Explorer

Just realised Chrome show three video banners down the ride hand side of the page and Internet Explorer doesn't

So basically what you are saying is because you have no issues using the same program and that it happens to me on two different computers on separate internet connections it is user error?

Thanks for reminding me why I haven't bothered with this site much over the last 18 months or so now... keyboard warriors

Yes this seemed to be the problem with me, the ads were video based and seemed to be the cause. I will try to remember to get a screenshot. I don't mind the ads, only saying when using that browser it was certainly a noticeable difference in performance.

I've got the same problem here, across the whole forum not just specific threads or anything, I've been disabling flash to use the forum for a while but it started to get pretty annoying, now I just find myself visiting less.

Same here. It's unbearable. Not just slow. It constantly freezes while typing comments and then crashes completely. It's been driving me nuts lately. Several different computers. All with the latest Chrome browser.

I just had it crash using IE 11 as well. I think it's a video ad causing the issue. I'm not sure what the ad is though because when the page crashes, the ad didn't fully load.
