Exclamation The Korean spam

Hi all,

As many of you have seen, there have been a number of spam attacks using Korean links, where the spambots have posted all over RCTech in a matter of minutes/hours.

We are doing our best to stem the tide of this attack, which has been going on for weeks.

The brunt of this attack has been borne by the moderator team, who have been working overtime to try to keep the boards clear for all of us. We can do a lot in terms of blocking these spammers from making accounts and posting links, but in the end, much of what needs to be done is simply removing the spam and blocking the new spammer accounts that get through the CAPTCHA.

Anyone who feels like being critical or snarky toward the mods can come to me directly to be dealt with. We do not attack the mods on this site. They are volunteering their time because they care about this community, and spam just sucks to deal with. They have been doing a spectacular job at this. Let's all be nice, be patient, and this attack will pass.

Thank you,

Paul

Hey Paul. If you'd like I can step in and help. I'll gladly take over the vintage forum. I'm sure Matt M would be completely OK with this, don't bother him though, ok?

Cheers
