Default Question from a first time poster

I've been a member since 2013, but made my first post yesterday after recently getting back into the hobby. I posted a reply last night it gave me a message that my post required moderator review... 24 hrs later and still no showing up.

Is there anything I need to do to get my account back in active status that will allow me to post topics/replies?

Thanks!

It's not anything you need to do, it's an automatic function of the site. We had to do this to help us keep the spammers & scammers from getting a foothold here. Now, all posts from members(for the first 10 posts) are automatically put into the moderation queue, for us mods to review & deal with. For spammers, we can delete them & deal with the posters before the legit members get exposed to them, & for new members, once we see them, we can easily approve the posts(& once you get past 10 posts, your posts will go up immediately). However, we don't always see them that quickly(we're not automatically notified of posts in the moderation queue), so if your posts don't get approved within say 24 hours, just let us know(preferably via private messages) & we'll get to it as soon as possible....

Once your account gets an approved post can you post immediately or do all ten need verified? It will take forever to get past 10 posts if I have to wait for every one to be reviewed, and I can't find any other forums with a thread about my car. Hopefully this post counts

Woah that post was instant I think. I assume this tech subforum has no such post restrictions?

Sometimes a response in an existing thread may show up immediately, but I'm not sure why that is. For the most part, you'll have to wait for a post to be approved, & yes it's normally for all 10. But if you just join in some of the discussions it'll go by faster than you'd think. Just follow the rules & be patient & you'll be good to go....

Thanks for the reply. It seems I can post now in that thread but my post from yesterday still hasn't come up. I don't know who to ask but the post is here, not my last post but one from yesterday. Any chance if a mod sees this they can pop over there and approve it please?

I've totally been searching for this information. I suggest making it a sticky!
