Having same problem

As you can tell I'm here a while and having same problem cant PM, no settings were ever changed. The site just does not show option to PM anyone
OK I think I found it :
Go too tools> Compatibility view settings
and add the site to the list
then now I can left click to get menu to PM
Might have been a senior moment don't forget it's a left click... lol
