roughly 5 ads per page out of 40 shouldnt be deleted...the rest are either bumping too often or multiple times in 1 day

EDIT...just found out that you can reply to people in your thread and it isnt supposed to be deleted...only if you actually say bump, ttt etc...as long as you say replied, sold or something like that its ok...i'll post the pm's if needed

What does that have to do with anything? Changing how threads are bumped or listed isn't going to have any effect on you not being able to control your impulse buying.

I look through quite a few ads and I don't normally see to many "more than one bumps" by the op. It's ok too answer pm's on your own thread

If you got a pm then answer the pm is supposed to be private there is no need to advertise to the whole world that you replied a pm. If I see" pm replied" many times in the thread I delete it.

Another idea is the 2 bump rule
You can bump your for sale ad twice then you have to let it drop

Again both are other successful forums that had problems with their FS section... Im a guilty moderator of one that put the vote in and made life easier for tens and thousands of members

I like the idea. But "change" is not in the lingo around here. I have seen quite a few very good ideas posted by members to just get quickly shot down by a mod. I guess life could be worse though.
