Default Search Works Again

Search function worked tonight (Tuesday). Glad to see it is fixed. If the moderator hadn't closed the thread about the issue, I would have posted this there instead of a new thread.

Sorry to say it worked for about five minutes and now can't find anything again.

I just tried it again and this time it worked. I was searching for the same keyword this time as before. Hopefully it is now working long term.

Don't know why or what causes it, but this was the 3rd time since I've been around that search has been 'broken'. This was the longest time it spent broken, or at least it seemed that way.

Would be nice if it didn't happened again, but I doubt it'll work that way.

How long after you post something does it become searchable?
I posted something in the sale area 24 hours ago and it still can't be found with a search.

No, the search feature is STILL not working 100% correctly. It is not indexing new posts at all, so anything in the last couple of days is not coming up in searches. You can put words in that you know you typed in the title or body, and the post you KNOW is there does not show up in the search results. Not to menton, the results are not even coming up in chronological order anymore.

Doesn't Internet Brands own RCtech now? They own vBulletin, too, which boggles my mind that they can't get this forum functionality working properly.

IT'S STILL NOT WORKING!

Why would they want to fix the search? As long as this site has no major competition, and the advertisers keep spending money on banners, the users keep using it and most don't complain or do anything about it.

It's unfortunate how things now get completely ignored here since Shane sold the site to Internet Brands.
