This was a problem stemming from an updated Privacy banner, but should now be resolved.

Keep getting logged out anytime I click on anything on this forum. Literally took over an hour to be able to post this. Also new posttests aren't highlighted.

Yea. That's what I ended up having to do. Works so far.

What part of the process took 3 hours?

Actually it's Pinky & The Brain.

Are you volunteering to provide higher-quality help for free?

The whole process. The site wouldn't remember my new password when ever I would change it. Every time I would log out and then go to log back in the new password I created was wrong according to the site so I would have to go back through the process of changing it again. I had to go the route of forgot password each time. I had to do it again this morning.

First, you'll want to make sure you are copy/pasting the generated password you are sent. A lot of people type it in manually, but that's not a good idea. You also want to make sure the new password you set meets the following criteria:
  • 10 characters long
  • A symbol (*, $, @, etc)
  • A lower case letter
  • A capital letter
  • A number
Also, if the new password you make doesn't work, you likely can just use the last one sent to you to log in and you don't need to "reset password" again.

It is also worth mentioning that password-manager software, whether built into your browser or installed separately, will NOT automatically apply the password requirements for any given website when generating a new random password for you. You have to double-check the new random password and tweak it if necessary to make sure it complies with the password requirements for the website. Firefox, for example, will not generate random passwords that include symbols; you have to add those yourself.

I seem to have gotten it all worked out somehow. My browser had saved each password attempt. I had to go in and remove the other four passwords.

How long does it take for the Elite membership to go through. I paid for it a few days ago and still do not have access.
