I registered successfully as I can login and I saw something about a moderator needing to approve some thing on my first post but it went away too fast and I didn't read it all. Anyways, my post is not showing up.

What do I need to do to get active on this forum?

It's in the Mini-Micro sub-forum.

Is there something I am supposed to do as a new member? My post didn't show up. I'll try and find a newbie user guide somewhere...

Most likely your post will be moderated within a few days and the post will be published automatically if all is well. Otherwise, you should receive a notification in the mail that the post has been rejected.
