Default Can we get the side banners to stop moving and covering the pages!

Like it says.

Is there a way to get the banners to stop moving when you scroll across a page and blocking the whole dang page you are looking at?

i get we need ads. But do we really need them to move.

I noticed while posting this new thread the ad to my right doesn’t move. I can voom in or out and it stays.

Same ad while looking at different pages covers the entire page

Can you provide a screenshot of the banner taking up the page? With a screenshot we'll be able to report the ad. Also, what browser and device is this happening to you on?

This ain’t the best example but you get it. It’s all right side ads, not a specific one.The ad will usually pull more center when zooming in. FYI iPhone X

It looks like you're using the desktop site while on a mobile device. If you switch over to the mobile skin you shouldn't run into the problem.

so it’s either deal with moving ads that pretty much cover the entire page or use that god awful mobile skin?

there has to be a way to stop the ads from moving on you guys side of things.

Again I understand the site needs the ad revenue. But do they really need moving ads...

The ads aren't designed to move, they're moving because the desktop site cannot be optimized for mobile use. If the full site were optimized for mobile use, we wouldn't offer a mobile version.

Other forums don't have this issue. Including ones that IB owns.

You need to manage adds better on this site.

I got ad blockers and they still show up randomly right when you try to post a reply. Kind of sucks and gets annoying when the ad get so close to the post button, and sometimes I swear the darn ad pops right there and takes the click.. Only seems to be a problem when using quick post.

It seems like a SQL placeholder issue or some other html/xml scripting purpose to literally put it right in your face if zoomed in to far.

The zooming in issue just has to do with the limits of screen/ad resolution and scaling.

Most likely.. zoom applies as in the entirety. Well then disable zoom on banner ads so they stay the same size.??

I’d have to wait and see if the random in your face next to post button again.

I think the paid membership should remove the ads. I mean, we are already supporting the site...
