A question for the experts
 

Hi everyone, I have a small query on a little project of mine.

I was recently given a au$150 remote control boat from a friend of mine (I'm 15) who had no idea about anything RC and snapped the rudder bar (which I fixed well with some good old epoxy and hard plastic) and managed to lose the transmitter. I thought this would have been no problem as I own multiple great digital transmitters... but I found out that this was bought in a RTR package, with a cheapo transmitter. This brings me to my problem. I have no idea how to bind a transmitter to the sealed off receiver. I know that it is 2.4ghz digital... I was hoping there was a way as the receiver is on the same board as the water-cooled ESC and is completed water sealed and glued shut, and I would rather not have to fiddle with it too much or buy a whole new set of electronics.

I found that the company sells spare receivers, so there must be a way to bind... but I can't find anything on the boat such as a button or switch.
