Mr. Shookie....
How are the Spektrum units working for you? Also do you recommend a certain radio brand? Something very easy to use. I was thinking of getting an M8. I'm tired of interferences.

So here it goes,
Opinions are just that so here is mine.
I had a M8 and it was great but it had some electrical problems and went to Airtronics for repairs three times.
I got sick of that and sold it so that I could buy the Helios.
Now your talking a sweet radio.
It is different looking (many think toy like(I think more futuristic)).
It has all the great features and it is balanced perfectly.
Funny though once I got mine I never got a glitch unless someone jumped on my channel...
Still though I can not resist the Spektrum, It is schedualed to be released for the Helios on the 19th of this month.....
Pre ordered all ready.
I saw the spektrum in action Saturday @ Hot Rod Hobbies and Wow is all I can say..... Minimum anttenna hight 3.5" although it does come with the 8" one it can be cut and it can be moved from the side to the top of the case.
Hope this helps.
Oh the M8 is also dated now.
Just MY $0.02

See, for me, anything Airtronics just doesn't feel right in my hand. I have big hands and my first Airtronics (the predecessor to the M8 - Caliper 3ps) it felt like I was holding a thin piece of plastic.
All I use now is JR Racing products. So I have the XS3 and the XR3i. A buddy of mine got the R-1 Helios and loves it too - of course there will be a Spektrum module for it but not the XS3.
As for me, I'm really not too jazzed up about the Spektrum, to be honest. It actually is based on a concept that I wondered if it would work - the band is the same used for WiFi/802.11G. Its great to see it in action, but I'm gonna sit back and wait to see how many radios adopt it and see when it become a standard, so to speak. Don't get me wrong, they look to be fun, but I just want to make sure all of the bugs are out, if any. LOL!
My $.02!

Yea...
me to, I'm going to wait for some reviews. I read one high profile driver said he thought it was slower. I'm not sure what to believe as of yet.

Is the Helios easy to use....
and program? I hate searching through a 200 page instruction book to figure out how to adjust it.

Anyone here have the....
upper BMI deck for the TC4? I can't get anyone to comment on it, good or bad. I have emailed BMI, posted on the TC4 thread time/time again and no one will say anything... Any comments about it?

Here is how it works.
You plug in the module.
Turn on your radios power
Attach the reciever to the car.
Turn on esc.
Push down the sink buttons on both the modual and receiver at the same time.
The module will find your receiver then they are sinked.
You turn off everything.
Next time you turn everything on the transmitter it will find a signal that is free and the receiver is already sinked so no need to adjust.
You will have all the same adjustments you had before.
I read the latest article in RC Driver whihc explains everything perfectly.
Check for your self.
I already pre-ordered mine.
Hope this sheads some light......HA HA PUN intended.

Man, they sure cut down that Bush Christian thread in the for sale forum pretty quick. It wasn't up for long, figured it would be moved to here, somewhere. Sad to see people ridicule <spell> something they don't have a clue about. I'm glad I'm a christian. Glad He changed my life for the better.
