Default First Night of Racing

So last night was the first night back and boy was it different, but a ton of fun. I ran into a few guys that I haven't seen in years! And learned that I need a TON of practice. It was nice that there were only 3 guys, including me, running last night. I didn't finish last but I need to cut 2 seconds off my lap times. After spending time with the top racer, I learned the set-up I was using was too general, and I needed to make some fine tune changes. So I'll be tuning her up and running tomorrow!!

I raced at a track for 2 and half years before it closed, fellowship with racers from that track, some I haven't seen since the track closed, at the tracks I now race at is SWEEEEET!

IF you had a AE OR the Losi XXX series I could point you to a start setup, BUT with the Losi 22 series, I have no start point(s) for you.

Check TLR web site for a setup that fits your track.

Third place for Team Holy Rollers! This was from last weekend...probably the last warm day for this year up here.

The week before that was 2nd place. I'm still trying to get the tuning down for the medium/high bite track I'm running on with the SC10. And now with the cold starting up I need to account for a 30 degree drop in temps.

The kid on the right is my son Jake. He keeps forgetting to turn the THR sticker (on the wing) towards the camera. After this race, he jumped out of sportsman and has been racing with the big boys up in 2WD mod.

Drop your shock oil one step >>> 30 to 27.5

IF your radio has throttle and brake EPA try -15 or -20 on both to soften the bottom so they don't come on so quick.

Just the other two podium finishers in his class. The Summit is surprisingly fast. And harder than heck to pass. That's the big reason why my son has moved up to the mod class. He actually runs faster laps because he isn't being crushed in sportsman by 4X4 short course trucks and Summits.

You want flames? I've got flames! I love painting flames. This is my kids truck that I painted up. Everything on it is paint...no stickers (other than the THR sticker).

Thanks, for the heads up tmail.

I did just that and after a few parts that I ordered and those changes I'm down 1.5 seconds at practice after Church yesterday. So I now know the last .5 is my driving. It's had to practice with SCT, and Mod 4x4 on the track, LOL!!!

So hopefully Tuesday night will fair better for me. Last Friday was tough to bear. I qualified 4th, and was a full lap off the pace. I figured I could make up that in the Main with traffic and a little more of an aggressive style....I was sorely mistaken, two turns into the race and I was landed on after somebody tried to clear a triple and missed badly. It threw me off the pace badly and I could never catch back up. It was tough one....really tough one.

But we'll see what will happen Tuesday.

Everyone, I'd like to make a prayer request. Some close friends of mine are starting a hobbyshop and they have finally went to closing on the building. Now they are having issues with building and getting everything ready for the grand opening. If you could give them some prayer that would be great! Rev. T, I will get you the info for this hobbyshop once it opens. Thanks and God Bless!

Members, I just got back from vacation. I was so busy before I left that I completely forgot this.
