I started with a Tamiya Hornet when I was in High School, then some 13 years later or so I wanted to start the club and the people at the Hobby store sold me a piece of junk that they recomended called at Hobby-Tech HT1. Later I bought a Traxxas 4-tec and did to it all that I could. From there, I went to a used Street Weapon, to another used Street Weapon, to a used Street Weapon IWC.

Was trying to find a good price on a XXX-S, Corally, X-ray and then I was offered a great deal on a used, but never run 7-Even Pro 6. I gobbled it up. It is all machined Aluminum and Carbon Fiber. It is light, very solid, and very strong. I have a few carbon fiber upgrades on it. I need to get some new parts so that I can race again. Racing here in Portland (Rain City) won't happen till probably Spring or Summer. I can hardly wait though. This is my longest time without racing in over two years. I think that I am going through withdrawals.

I think that the the RC Lab Seven Even is the best that you can get for the money.

Hi C,

congratulations on your appointment, hope you'll get the RC
ministry going again. That 7even is really different than what
we have here (Yoke, Tamiya, HPI, etc) with the spur in the mid.
Sure love to have one for try out.
We are celebrating Lunar New Year here, I couldn't get time for
surfing much. Later.

ps: the pic is really cool.

Glad that you like it. I have a GT 40 body that I plan to air brush it in a bit. I hope to find out where I can race so that I can enjoy some racing again.

Do you have a favorite new body?

Default New Bodies

Actually I have several new bodies,
I don't have 'em with me in the office (oops), later I'll post from hm.
Most of them are painted/deco mildly, not so many decals but I hope I can make one someday.
I have HPI Merc, Civic Coupe (with lights), Accord, Volvo, Peugeot206, Subaru....very long list. I'll post the HPI Sport2 Stratus (favorite) later.
Let's have your GT40.
cheers.

Default I will paint it when I have time.

Here is the body that I had before this. It is the new Celica body.

I think that I might have a couple of young Korean guys that would like to know about RC racing.

......and the chassis,
too bad it wasn't sport2, but very similar to it- OFNA Hyper10.
currently use Kawada 13x2 with 6.8 gearing.
I have a Sport2, but maybe later.
Good to hear you might have people interested in RC cars. Over here at my church there were none (that I know of). I have friends in RC but they went to diff chcs.
Well, look forward to your future paint job.
BTW, I participate in team Orion decal contest. Will be on for next month (March) round. Check it out, it's an Alfa Romeo GTV, mildly decod.

cheers.

Those are some pretty cool photos. Here is one of my favorite painted bodies, this is on my old IWC Street Weapon. I actually later gave the IWC away, but I still kept the Aston Martin body.

Would you give it away, if it looked like this?

Talking

Very cool body...
is it from pro-line? I know it's not available at my part of the world.
Difficult to say whether to give it away or not, I guess it depends. I sure love to keep it if I have, but then giving it away for a very very good reason definitely won't hurt me.
How's race n life ?
We have incoming race this Sunday ... basket ball court kinda track, don't know why they don't do it on Sat seems better for me.
Anyway my Sunday service is in the evening, so no need to skip. I'll post some pics later.
Happy servicing this Sunday, and nice weekend too.
cheers.

Default Had a great weekend!

Gave out some of my old RC Car Action magazines to some of the students. I am looking at Mini Z cars or the same style of car from other manufacturers. That might work better. The parking lot at the church is pretty lame.

The Friday night, I am going to show "Lay It Down" which is a Christian Street racing movie available at www.christiancinema.com.

It is pretty cool. I think that they will like it.

Default This is thre thread former titled "No Title"

I had Futureal change the title for us, so that maybe others would use it and not just ev6rc and I. "No Title" didn't sound too inviting.

Am going to start the mini thread on the Electric forum.

Default Great.

Hi C,

I'm very busy lately with my work (till very late at night) didn't have chance to check out the thread.
I think it's great if others can join in and share some experience and stuff.
I suggest u try the HPI RS4 Micro rather than mini Z, cause of it's slightly higher ride and better adaptability to uneven surface.
Can use most of the electronics for 1/10 scale if later decided to get more serious.
Have a nice weekend. For me it's been an exhausting week.

cheers.

Hey E,

That seems to be the general consensus, that the RS4 Micro is much better than the Mini-z. I have read that about 4 different places now.

I will start looking for those. I find a place to race Mini-zs, I am not sure that they allow the Micro RS4, so that is maybe something that I want to be checking into.

I am expecting my next order from Speedtechrc, then I will have my 1/10th scale up and running again. It has been TOO long.

Singapore is near what countries?

We have some friends that are doing ministry in Malaysia and thought that it would be fun to visit them sometime, especially if we can do it at the same time as the Formula one race, so that we can attend that.

Are you a Formula One fan?

I found out something cool last night about Formula One, because I didn't know if there were any Christians in the sports anywhere, or even if their had been. But I found a former racer who is a believer, who still plays a very important role at all F1 races. I will scan a photo and write up a little story of it and post it on this forum. Will put a link to it from here.
