I'm new to this forum and am in the market for an RC car, specifically an RC10T4. I tried posting a WTB ad but have not been approved by the admin after trying to post last night. Do I have to be a member for 90 days and post 90 messages before being able to post a want ad or is that just for selling?

I guess I'm just uncertain becuase I haven't been able to successfully post my want ad.

Thanks!

Great, thank you! Sorry if I was getting ahead of myself. Didn't know if there was a time frame I could expect for approval.

This is best thing I've read all day, and I totally agree.

the fee is minor, and a cheap insurance!

Not disagreeing, People do get screwed I recently did a Trade on here and as soon as I mailed off the car I worried that I wouldn't get the car from them in return. If the site allows trades (no security) why doesn't it allow friends and family if the person is willing to take the risk ?

Depends on the way you make your payment, I breed Snakes and buy my rodents weekly using PayPal. It is a friend I pick them up from his house so I use PayPal just because I don't ever have cash, I send friends and Family and there is No fee, That is with bank Account linked to account. I believe if you send payment with a credit card there is a fee even if friends and family. Just from my experience anyway.

That’s a pretty good question & I’ll try to explain some of the reasons. When you send a PayPal payment as friends & family, you are basically “gifting” the person X amount of $$$$. It’s a gift & yes it’s that simple. There’s no prerequisite or contractual agreement. You are not under any obligations to the other party.
When you enter a trade, you are basically entering into a contractual agreement. You’re agreeing to trade this for that, basically for goods or services. If you send something for a trade & either party does not fulfill their end of the agreement, you are basically breaching the contract & obtaining either said goods or services under false pretenses.
When you send PayPal payment as goods & services, you have basically entered a contractual agreement. You agree to trade money or services for something. Therefore, you have established a prerequisite to the agreement & you become liable to fulfill your obligations.

Do so at your own risk I think is the message.
