Red face Looking for a beginner / basher

My daughter says she wants to get into R/C which means that after years of actually being able to drive past a hobby shop without stopping, having space on my workbench and money in my pocket, I am now getting back into the hobby with her!

I'm looking for RTR as the only thing I have left in my old R/C box is a glow plug igniter, my airbrush, some paint, and a couple of new T-Maxx fuel tanks.

I want nothing to do with Nitro anymore - electric only.

She of course wants something pink and some quick web browsing has her interested in a Slash or a Rustler.

Suggestions are welcome.

I a traxxas rustler that only needs a radio installed. It has the steering servo and the traxxas VXL brushless system. $100 shipped. Or if you like I can check and see about an economic spectrum radio and ship that with it also. That would be $160 shipped. Let me know if you're interested.

I think she needs to start with something a little slower than a brushless system. Maybe one of the smaller lower geared trucks that she can drive around in the house for a while.

I'll have to look today but I believe there's a training mode in the traxxas esc. It will slow it down considerably. I'll look into it and get back with you.

Ok, after looking into it, there is a training mode on that esc. 50% forward/100% brakes/50% reverse, plus you could gear it down some also. Here's the link. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

Thanks everyone. We found a Latrax Teton that she likes and the LHS has parts for!

Now to see how quickly she wants something faster or how quickly I end up with a garage full of R/C cars and planes again...
