Brushless ESC/Motor combo
#1

Anybody have, or know of any good deals on ESC/Motor combos? I have a budget of about $50 but not limited to. So name your prices! :]

Most setups are almost triple or quadruple your budget. i have a novak gtb and 13.5 i can get rid of for 100.

Yes, $50 is a little low for a brushless system.
The Castle Sidewinder SCT combo is a good way to go. Can be found for right around $100 and the 4-pole motor is very solid. Plus you get the system NEW for $100, which means it has a 1-year warranty, and that's a big part of the value.
There's plenty of ways to do RC on a budget, but that said it can still be pretty expensive. If you are just testing the waters you might want to find a cheap brushed setup. Many vehicles are only available RTR and people pull those brushed setups out and sell them for cheap, should be able to find something for $50 or less.

Actually you can get the reedy 3300 system out of the sc10 and b/t4 for around 80$

AHH! Well, do I "need" the ESC? Is there a way I can get forward/reverse with just the motor, and receiver?

AHH. I need something that's not too high-end, but can still give me the power I need.
