i bought mine brand new off ebay for $185 shipped so you need to shop around.

Also, at that time, Live.com was offering 30% off so I got that money back too. Now they are offering 9% cash back.

Dont pay the inflated price and it will come down.

you can find them used for about 125

i had one i sold on here. was used about 4 times on grass. in perfect shape.
i listed it at 150 shipped. which is a fair price considering its condition.
i got so many pm's wanting to buy for 100.
i ended up selling it for 140 shipped. so they can be had for the cheap

It's supply and demand as Sunshine stated.

It's just like personal transponder's.
The single most wanted item in all of R/C for about 5 yrs.

The Slash is the hottest class in America. They bring what they do due to demand. Nothing else.

But I do find it funny Da Reaper that you AUTOMATICALLY think that a used item should sell for 50%. This is not stated anywhere and if you think it's the NORM it's because YOU think its the norm.
No where in history has it been a RULE or stated anywhere that if it's used it should automatically sell for 50% of new.
Thats YOUR mistake. No one else's.
So stop being the VICTIM in today's society and realize it's supply and demand.
Nice stable of R/C you have. Would you sell your best piece for 50% of new?
I didn't think so.

Default used Slash prices

I sold my Slash for more than I sold my Eight T race roller and parts. it's all about supply and demand and nobody wants an old truck lol... same reason losi 1.0 prices dropped as soon as the 2.0 hit the shelves. the Slash class is hot right now and that's all there is to it. I got a good deal on my Eight T so I passed the deal on without a thought...

Whats there to be confused about. There a new truck that is still in demand. I would happily pay half for anyones almost new truck, who wouldnt.

Cool I think you guy's misunstood!

By the way,I'd like to have a 1970 AAR Cuda'(the real one)but cant seem to find one for its original window sticker cost...maybe I should start a thread.
Kevin I think you miss what I was saying, for one my hobby is drag racing I got into rc so I would be able start my son out into racing and spend time. I only run 1/5 scale all the other toys are his, so if thats selfish I wish my father would have been that selfish. I let my 11 year old son drive any of my cars he wants, but he don't need to because I buy almost two of every thing that's why we have so many cars. I was not complaining about guys with slash that have RPM arms, better servo and brushless set up, if you read the thread I said stock slash and I just wondered if I was missing something. I order two new slashes(one for him and one for me) so please let you eight year old daughter know that the bad man gave his son car number 29 to play with. I don't understand why guys jump on here and get upset over a thread, if you are not trying to sell a beat up used stock slash for 175.00 and up I was not talking to you. My son wanted to race 1/8 dirty, got HPI hellfire never raced, wanted to race monster truck, got revo set up, then dirty bikes got dirty bike, cart racing, junior drag racing and on and on, thats why I tried to find a cheap use one to see if he liked it(all stock that's the only way they race here) we have our new slash's and to date not one race (HE IS PLAYING AAU BASKETBALL NOW) so Kevin I hope this explains what I said. Also the old big bad daddy and son are restoring a 1979 Z28 for his first car and if you need any info about me name is Brett Wilkins out of Memphis Tn call any hobby shop and they will tell you the same. STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR DAUGHTER HAD TO DO WITH THIS. I was not even going to answer this but it really got to me when guys started adding in on this. The law of supply and demand only works if there is a shortage, no shortage on slash's try getting a body for a 5T now thats supply and demand!

If you don't like the price noone says you have to buy one!

Judging by the size of your rc collection you're hardly destitute.

Personally I think you're one of these tools who feeds off getting something for nothing, if you want it so badly you pay market price, simple.

The Slash is one of the biggest RC's (popularity wise) on the market now, don't expect everything to fall into your cheapskate budget. Want a cheap rc? Go to Wallmart!
