I have a mint Airtronics MX-3S radio system for $100 plus shipping that might be of interest to you. This is a fully synthesized transmitter with matching synthesized receiver. Never buy crystals again. On the 75mHz band and will ship in an original MX-3 box.

I like the way the Airtronics seems to glue to your hand

The JR feels cheap to me

On the other hand used JR receivers are more common then the Airtronics are

Edit here is an XS-3 for $55.00 shipped with a receiver

Just found it on here

the 590 is a good throttle servo, the 270 is garbage.
