Looking for the 911 Tamiya version Porsche body that will fit the short version TA03. Just built the short TA03R-S for an upcoming Tamiya TCS race and would like the run this car but need this body. I had enough new spare parts to build it now I need find this body.

I checked that one out last night. Only problem is that it don't tell you that it fits the TA03R-S. Tamiya makes two models in this body, 1 normal length and 1 short version for the 03R-S.
It would really help if I had the original stock part number of the body that fits the 03R-S then I could match them up. If I call Tower Hobbies they won't have a clue what it fits as they just have order takers. I will try to find the original stock body number for that Porsche.
Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,
Would you believe I'm doing up the same car in the same way
. I have a couple of those bodies (#50747) and they are for the 03RS. The Tamiya part number is listed in the light blue area in Tower's link.

Best of luck

Hey thanks. I called Tamiya yesturday and they gave me the same number. I went to Tower Hobbies and they had them in stock so I bought two of them. I'm more than likely going to get one or two more because I think I will like the short car better because I have the plastic tub on it and I can run any of the Tamiya GT1, GT2, or GT3 classes with this car. My other car is a TA03R-TRF version on the graphite chassis and is only good for GT1.
I will run my short car in a few weeks to test it out and see how I like it but I'm sure it will be great.
I could send you pics when it is done. Let me know how yours turns out. I would like to see a pic sometime if you can.
Thanks
Brian

Vapourtrail, I did look at that Tamiya page and it threw me off because they don't actually say the body is for the TA03R-S version cars. Tamiya did confim that it is the body I need. I will find out Friday when my bodies get here.

Hey Brian,
Yeah I hear ya, Tamiya's international website is not the easiest to navigate:
http://www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcitem/parts/rc11.htm
You get used to it though. My GT2 is 1/2 done (Piaa Porsche 911), but sourcing the right decals is holding me up ...
My GT1 won't be ready for a while but it'll be nice to see how you're doin'.
email or PM anytime
