WANTED AE 10L ss

if anyone has an old 10L ss car or chassis collecting dust, reasonably priced (naturally) please let me know. I have an L3 and an L4 now but am interested in doing a bit of carpet onroad nascar racing experimentation.

I have a 10LSS with an aftermarket chassis that would be good for velo racing. The chassis is wide on both sides and I believe has 12 battery slots or 6x6. I've had the chassis for 15 years and finally got around to putting it back together a few months ago. Currently it has the "old school" front end on it. The parts were white that have been dyed pink. The LH pod is also dyed pink. I also have body mounts and ride height spacers that are dyed pink. I should add that I didn't dye them. There are decent bearings on the car right now. Also the chassis doesn't have any holes for a servo mount, so that may be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. Oh, it also has the old school gold center shock with adjustable shock collar.

I was going to set it up for a speed run at the Indianapolis Velodrome, but I have a 10L2O or 10L wide car that I can destroy!

I'll try to get some pictures posted

Is this what your looking 4.............

canadian_blast 07-13-2006 06:40 PM

the speedway car (ss) was the narrow version of this, also looking for graphite chassis.

this is what you want.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ASSOCIATED-10L_W...QQcmdZViewItem

canadian_blast 07-13-2006 09:24 PM

again, no, the front end is the wide style not ss.

the 10l ss is narrow so that a 190 touring car body would fit it properly

if you want a 190mm car, you don't want an ss. the ss is like 215mm you want an rc10l3T touring... there is one brand new on ebay ending today..l http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Sorry for the quality of these photos, but took them with a webcam. The chassis on this car is not the stock 10LSS. I'm not sure if it is a composite/graphite chassis or a black fiberglass chassis. I do have a graphite top motor plate and the bottom is the stock aluminum. The chassis cross brace is fiberglass. I believe that is was designed for a Velo or high speed track. The Chassis is 7 3/4 inches wide, has 6x6 battery slots, and is 2mm thick. Right now I have old cap tires on it. With cap tires the rear is 7 1/4 inches wide (with narrow rears) and the front is 7 1/2 inches wide. On most 190mm bodies, the chassis should fit under the body. However if you are running at high speed tracks it seals off the underside nicely (if you tape off the chassis). The battery slots are as close to the center line as possible, so it could make a decent onroad car if you want to use it that way - but on old school pan cars wider is better for onroad

Let me know if you have any questions.

Tally, the ss is the narrow car but there was a 10L (non ss) that was the wide road coarse car. I still have some of the car bodies I raced when I had 10Lss cars.

Indy, I had one of these chassis back in the early 90s and it may work for what I am thinking about doing now with it.

The question would be, how much do you want for it?

I think I have a NEW IN PACKAGE 10LSS chassis.

if you didn't find what you are looking for.

I checked...and DO have a Brand New in Package Part Number 8301 10Lss Graphite Chassis.

I still use these when building cars for "NEWBIES" and they still work great.

I'd sell this one for $20.00 + shipping (if you are in US, I can Priority Mail it for under $5.00)
