I need help finding a body for my son car. He is 6 and we did a father/son build of a associated tc3. Only thing now is I find out after being out the hobby is bodies prices have now sky rocketed!!!!! And nobody had any local. (Oc,ca). And the ones that due their $60_75 bux!!!!! That's clear and no paint!!!! I rember when hpi bodies were $25!!!! I seen on eBay that a clear hpi Lamborghini body is $300-400!!! And guess what that is the one he wants...smh. A store told me prices should come down when hpi becomes better stock...I don't know..... Does anyone have any clear 190-200 mm for a reasonable price? Please lmk. I know I'll need offset rims for 200mm. We're building a drift/road.....many thanks.

HPI is pretty much dead and I would not bet on it to recover, if I were you. The prices you have seen for HPI bodies resemble the fact that there are hardly any of them left anywhere. Normal TC bodies are still available at around $25, but usually these are the aerodynamically optimized blobs, with no resemblance to any real car. You might want to check Tamiya's bodies as an alternative to HPI for more realistic, scale looking bodies, although they are usually $40+.

Have a look at online hobby shops like Amain and others. If you must, there are many overseas stores like RCMart that sell bodies of all kinds. I just had a look and a new unpainted Protoform Mazda 6 body is on sale for $8.99. They also sell A-plus, Colt, Blitz, Bittydesign, J-Concepts, WRC Racing, and other brands. They often sell bodies in a 2 pack bundle.

Thank you guy's.....I was looking at all the new race bodies and we're shocked. Soon touring cars are going to look like sperm or tadpole's.... WTH...I thought the ideal was to stay true to the sport....
