Can't argue about the second sentence but pics with a username and date at least show the item is real.

The only recourse on bad deals is paypal. Rctech does nothing other than try to remove the bad apples, and they just show back up under different usernames and IP adresses.

Not true. Pics can be coppied and pasted from anywhere, with the seller claiming it as there own.

Paypal doesn't always make the right decision. Been there before. All it takes is one bad apple......
If it became a rule no pics no ad and it saved just one person from getting scammed I think it would be worth it. Like said before though, to each their own. And yes I finally seen an ad on ebay without pics. Guess what I did ? Just moved on.

You look at things your way. Ill Look at it mine. Its not the posting or not posting pics that scams people. Its the dishonest person behind the add.
Just like the gun debate. Guns dont kill people, the person behind the gun does. The bad apple will always find a way to what it does..

TO me it should be required to take a pic with your user name written down to see as well.

Pics with user name or don't post a for sale thread.

If people don't like that, or think it is to much work, sell it on fleabay or craigslist.

Please explain to me how that will keep someone from taking my money and then not shipping the item. Lol. All that does is show the item is in there.. Again it comes back to the seller..

Once a scammer always a scammer but I do believe pictures with username and date would slow some of it down. I used to text pics and do deals all the time but not so much anymore. There is still some guys here I do deals with over the phone or text but it has nothing to do with tech at that point.

If dealing over text or email, you can always ask for a pic with date/ username, ect if thats what you think will make a safe deal. But saying you need to post pics with your add, isnt the answer to stop scammers.
Like you said, you skip over adds without pics. So just skip over them. Alittle buyer diligence by checking ratings, and even a simple short phone call, means more than a pic posted with an add..

Well if someone is willing to go that far and put in the effort, I doubt they are in the business of taking your money.

Plus don't send as gift and you get your money back. If you are that worried about it, then don;t buy stuff online man. Really as simple as that. I have had a ton of great transactions through this site.

I would be worried about the sellers that say

" can't post pics, text plz "
