Mike,

The Duratrax Piranha charger arrived but not without problems. Why you indicated a value of US$50 on the customs form when the price I paid including shipping was US$30 escapes me. I was stuck paying additional taxes and handling fees because of the higher declared value. Why do sellers do this?

Much worse is the charger was broken in shipping because you failed to pack it properly. It was shipped in the original box but with no packing at all, no foam peanuts, no bubble wrap, not even crumpled newspaper. The 4lb charger was left to bounce around inside the original box which really isn't a suitable shipping box in the first place. USPS postal service can be rough.

You offered to compensate for repairs and I have since sent you an email and a PM message with the cost, neither of which you've responded to. I should demand a full refund and send you back the broken charger, but instead I'm preparred to keep the charger, buy the part and fix it myself. All I ask is that you cover the US$9.75 price of the part I need. I'm waiting for your reply.

Steve

actually, yes i did respond to every email that you sent to me, including the one where you asked me to cover the ten bucks it cost you to repair the item, and i replied saying that i would pay the 10 bucks PLUS the extra 5 bucks that i charged to send it. As far as the $50 value, she told me that i had to put a value on it because it was an international shippment, and she saw the price tag on the box which said $54.99 if i recall, therfore she told me to put 50 bucks down. I HAD NO CLUE that Canada was going to charge you taxes on that, the US doesn't do that.
