Hahaha this is cool. I got off the phone with a friend of mine who's expecting a kid. I told him I would find something for him and he used to have a TC5.. Too bad I missed it but this is still a great way to pay it forward, someone got lucky!

Just to give an update. I have the car, trying to gather an esc and servo for it and give it to a local young racer, who currently races off road only. His father is serving our country over seas. Hope he is surprised and enjoys it.

This is one of the best things I've seen in a long time.
Wrightcs, Sounds like you picked a kid who will gain more from it than just another toy. Hopefully he will be able to focus on the hobby as a way to take a break, however short of a break it may be, from missing his Dad.
