Tamiya 801XT E converted, Hot Bodies Tekno v4 D8
Decided to switch things up a bit, I have 2 vehicles for sale.
*Tamiya 801xt with E conversion. $200 shipped. Ran 3 times for 6 minutes each. I babied it around the track, letting the diff gears break in, then checked lash. I called races yesterday, ran it in one heat and decided I didn't have time for multiple classes while working the track. I did lots of research before assembling the truck, it was built the right way! Dremelled flat spots on all drive shaft pins for set screws. All preassembled CVA's broke down and built with grease and flat spots dremelled on pins. Boiled arms and body mounts. Upper shock mounts replaced with fuel tubing, stock pieces inluded. Diffs 10-10-5. Shocks cleaned and threadlocked piston screw and let sit overnight before filling with oil. 46 tooth spur gear installed. Stock carbon fiber servo tray cut down for just steering servo and stock radio box modified and mounted up front. This is one of the cleanest E-conversions I've seen, I'm kind of OCD when building a kit so rest assured it's solid and put together right... 25 years in the rc hobby. All extra nitro parts and extra parts in the kit included with manual and box. Here's what's included with what I paid: Tamiya 801xt $99.99 from Tamiya USA RC Monster Battery box, no holes drilled in chassis $40 Mounted with long screws and nuts, plastic box is known to pull screws out= bulletproof Mugen Motor mount and center diff mount $60 Sweep Square Armors 95% tread left, $50 Painted stock body, no cracks only ran a total of 18 minutes Ofna 46 tooth spur gear $12 Asking $250, truck has less than 20 minutes on it... super smooth drivetrain and very quiet. http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0622.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0623.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0625.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0624.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0626.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0627.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0620.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0621.jpg Hot Bodies D8 with Tekno V4 kit $225 shipped Originally I got a VE8 and raced it a few times, started announcing races so it didn't see much use. After last season I installed a new Tekno V4 conversion, all new Avid bearings, replaced all steel ball ends with Hara aluminum, new diffs, new 112mm rear shocks and Tekno rear tower, new CVA's front and rear. Losi front shock shafts Since the Tekno conversion the car has been raced 8 times, not much wear on the bottom http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0642.jpg[/URLhttp://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0641.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0643.jpg[/URLhttp://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0645.jpg http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...s/IMAG0638.jpg |
