Exclamation Calling all vintage guys RC10 Molded Carbon fiber tub chassis

Who would like a molded Carbon Fiber Chassis for their old school RC10?

I have been working with the guys at http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/ to try to get a limited reproduction run of the old molded carbon fiber tub chassis. They said if they could get enough people willing to put down a deposit they would do a run of these chassis for us collectors out there (see attached e-mail from Fibre-Lyte). I don't have a ballpark price yet I'm waiting to hear back on that. I'm sure the overall interest is the determining factor of the price though.

A member from RC10B4 has one and here are the links to the pics of the molded CF chassis.

It sure does look stunning!

Here is the e-mail response from Fibre-Lyte:
Hi Josh,

Yes, we still do all the other RC10 parts, just not the molded one. As
for
starting making the tub again, find out what interest there is, and if
enough people are willing to put down a deposit, it may be worth our
while
doing some.

Hi Josh,

if we had a template to work from the initial cost of the mould would
be
around GBP150.00. If enough people were willing to put down deposits
the we
might forego this cost. Either way each chassis would probably be about
GBP80.00-100.00

Best Regards

Stephen Walton

Not sure what they want for the deposit just yet. I would think the deposite will probably be rufly 50% if not 100% deposit because they will encour a lot of labor just making the mold alone. I'll keep you posted though.

Send me an e-mail if your interested so I can compile a list to submit to the company. [email protected]

Let me know how many you want. All payments will be made to fibre-lite and not me. I'm simpley recruting interest in getting a production of these chassis.
Thanks,
Josh

Yeah I know right! Still very cool cars and for those of us that ran them it's just kinda cool to have one for the memories of it all.
